Ceramics designer, Makiko Nakamura was born in Japan and moved to London to study at RCA, graduating in 2011. A versatile designer, Makiko makes both narrative one-off art pieces and tableware that is focused on function and design. She also undertakes bespoke projects for companies such as Alexander McQueen and Querida inc. Makiko Nakamura was the recipient of the Wolf & Badger Graduate Design Award 2011 for Product Design.
