Ralph Masri creates statement pieces with a fervent attention to detail and a strong emphasis on artistry and craftsmanship. It all started after the success of his graduate collection which developed into his first official collection - A Trace of Lace.  He has recently launched his second collection - Arabesque Deco as well as opening an official showroom in his hometown of Beirut. We spoke to him to find out more about the brand. 

What have been the highest and lowest points on your journey so far?

The high point has been the opening of my showroom in Beirut earlier this year. The low point was having half my new collection stolen earlier this year too.

What is your greatest fear?

Being in a plane crash.

How would you describe your customer base?

Eclectic and bold.

What are the morals you run your brand by? 

Quality design and craftsmanship, and a unique identity.

Who is your mentor?

No one specific but I get a lot of guidance from my family, particularly my mother and aunt.

The one I currently reside in.

Jamie Oliver’s cookbook.

What is your most treasured possession?

My passport.

What motto do you live your life by?

Do whatever makes you happy.

How do you keep your body and mind healthy?

Gym, good food, good sex, and whiskey.

Where do you see the brand in five years?

Hopefully all over the place.

How supportive they are of emerging talent.

What one thing would make your life better?

Having less indigestion.
