With a sombre air of pathetic fallacy, this weekend brought us the perfect storm in South West England and, rather aptly, the passing of US singer, former Velvet Underground frontman, and the artist who penned Perfect Day, Lou Reed. One of New York City’s most influential songwriters and guitarists, Reed helped shape rock music with a career spanning the best part of 50 years.
