KOVU is a Western Switzerland-based ethical and conscious brand founded in 2021 by Lorena Epifani. Alerted by climate change and animal sacrifice in the fashion industry, our mission is to make sustainable, vegan, and ethical handbags without compromising quality and design. KOVU’s fashion items are made of the most innovative materials available on the market. We are proud to be the first in Switzerland to work with Desserto®, a sustainable leather alternative made from mature cactus leaves, and ULTRAWER®, derived from the non-edible part of corn and plastic bottles removed from the sea. We also use organic cotton to make linings and dust bags. KOVU bags are designed in Switzerland and carefully handcrafted with love by artisans in Milano, Italy.
