Award winning designer Maiko Nagayama established her adventurous design-led fine jewellery company in 2009. This London based brand brings a new sense of identity to fine jewellery. Born and raised in Tokyo and consequently inspired by human behaviour in the city and new scientific discovery. Maiko’s British sojourn since 1999 broadened her mind and she developed her own vocabulary of futuristic unique forms, essentially abstract but evocative of cosmic and scientific world. She combines the newest technology and the traditional skill to create each piece of jewellery. Intensely coloured precious stones such as blue and green blazing black opals, deep ocean sapphires, hand-carved jet and sky-like aquamarines, colour changing alexandrite drop colour onto sensual forms resulting in sculptural, pleasurable and unique wearable works of art.
