Shirt Story

Grandmother Susan & Granddaughter Josephine based in Sussex and London are working with a whole host of artisans across India who hand tie, dye and weave every piece of Shirt Story cloth and stitch every garment. Shirt Story is a celebration of people, textiles and storytelling!

Creative souls promoting slow fashion with a new fair and sustainable business model, we celebrate the ancient textiles crafts in Indian heritage and are passionate about taking more care about clothes and sharing an appreciation for more conscious consumption of fashion.

Shirt Story design is inspired by the ease and freedom of French work shirts worn in the 18th century modernised through experimenting with Susan's Anglo-Indian shirt collection she has built over the last 30 years.
