Smith/Grey

Vienna born designer Birgit Schmidt graduated from the RCA, after previously training as an architect. Birgit Schmidt was the recipient of the Wolf & Badger Graduate Design Award 2011 for Jewellery and has since joined with designer Sofus Graae to form SMITH/GREY. SMITH/GREY is known for creating jewellery that is edgy and original, distinguished by adventurous themes and a polished, high-end finish. Sophisticated and with a bit of wit, the design duo uses their unique visual language to create special wearable pieces. SMITH/GREY's jewellery has been featured in various style publications such as Harper's Bazaar, Vogue, I-D, Elle, Dazed & Confused and more. They have been nominated for 'Jewellery Designer of the Year' at the UK Jewellery Awards 2015.
