A triangle of rough cut aquamarine is held in a gold mount with a large, soft grey, cultured pearl which hangs below.
The hypoallergenic post comes out from a narrow band on the middle back of the aquamarine. The metal is recycled sterling silver 18k gold vermeil. As the only place the gold touches the skin is at the back of the earring, the gold will last very well.

All gold vermeil will eventually wear off, and the more often it is worn the more quickly it will come off. But as this is a full micron of 18k gold vermeil, this should not happen for a long time.
