Richard Brendon and pattern visionaries, Patternity, have joined forces to change perceptions of what British bone china can look like. The collaboration brings together Richard’s expertise in ceramic design and heritage with Patternity’s award-winning pattern exploration and innovation. Hand made by the best craftsmen in Stoke-on-Trent, England, the collaboration draws inspiration from over two centuries of British culture. Driven by history and powered by pattern this collaboration draws an entirely new audience to bone china.
China can be washed in a dishwasher - at a maximum temperature of 60°C. However, where precious metals are used ware should only be hand washed.
Stubborn stains can be removed by soaking in a mild bleach solution for up to one hour without damaging the china. Scouring pads or abrasive washing agents must not be used. Soaking in warm water before washing will remove most stains or hardened on particles.
Tableware with gold or platinum trim must not be used in a microwave.
When storing plates, try not to slide them over one another as this may cause tiny scratches in the glaze. We recommend a paper napkin is placed between each plate.

Meet The Designer

Richard Brendon is a British product designer who specialises in bringing together contemporary design and traditional craftsmanship to create unique and timeless collections. Richard takes an explorative approach to design, trying to fully understanding the materials and manufacturing process he is working with before putting pen to paper. He is skilled in identifying and distilling the finest design elements of the past and reinterpreting them to produce his signature style of insightful, refined and dynamic design.

Richard is passionate about helping to regenerate heritage craft industries, as the quality of their products are second to none. All of the Richard Brendon bone china is made by hand in Stoke-on-Trent, England, where Josiah Spode first perfected the formula for this quintessentially British material over two centuries ago. His lead crystal is mouth-blown and hand-cut by artisans in Bohemia, who are world-renowned for their skill.
