Juanita has been creating since she was a child. Her artistic needs found their perfect medium in jewellery. It has become an extension of who she is and what she has been - fashion designer, current affairs producer, artist. She loves the process of connecting to her creative core, imbuing each creation with passion, and wants the joy she and her small team get from designing and making each piece to be shared by everyone who wears it. Serafin produces jewellery with a conscience. All in this small team are committed to sustainable jewellery. What's auspicious about Serafin's beginnings is that Juanita found this new creative medium through her eldest son Gabriel drawn to jewellery after an accident caused him to rethink his path. Serafin began just two years ago out of Juanita's desire to work with her son. Now it's become a family affair - Juanita, Gabriel, niece Amanda, son Joel and sister Julie. In 2018 three highly skilled artisanal jewellers joined the team, and have become a part of their growing family, all a perfect fit with Serafin - full of joy and kindness. Juanita lives, works and plays on Sydney's Northern Beaches - her little piece of Heaven.
