ALIUS is focused on creating unique pieces that expand on traditional jewellery design.
As a fine arts graduate majoring in sculpture, Kirsten Hunter draws on this background for her debut collection.
Each design is sculpted by hand using traditional techniques to create intricate, individual and bold designs.
In an age of mass production and digital design there is a belief in keeping craftsmanship alive with the hand of the maker visible in every piece.
The brand is committed to keeping production handmade and local.
Workers are paid a living wage; no child labour or human trafficking is involved in the production of the collection; the factory is compliant with all local environmental regulations.
This collection is entirely made in the designer’s studio and/or by an artisan collective of fewer than 10 people.
