RE-SIGNIFY THE PERCEPTION OF WIXARIKA ART Through KUU, we intend to re-signify the perception of Wixárika art in pieces with an aesthetic, cultural and social significance. Kuu = Snake Kuu means snake, and from that word comes “kuuka” which means “chaquira” and “offering”. The snake represents the earth, it’s origin and the ability to transcend. Each piece is a favorite and each piece reflects a set of beliefs as deep as their cosmogony.
