MDRNALT

Modern Alternative, or MDRNALT, is a small independent footwear company based out of Seattle, WA. Founded in 2019, the team at MDRNALT strives to create sophisticated and sustainable designs using low impact and natural materials, most notably hemp. For most, hemp is a material that evokes images of a more bohemian lifestyle, but we sought to elevate hemp and show that it can be as diverse as any other textile. Our signature shoe, highlights hemp by using it as our primary material. Our use of hemp canvas enables us to create a low impact shoe that uses 75% less water than canvas and leather.
