One of a set of seven finest English bone china mugs featuring Jane's original Biro drawings from her series 'In Homage to the Last Great Carnivores of Eurasia'. Hand decorated and made in Stoke-on-Trent to the highest standard by prestigious ceramic designers and manufacturers The New English, each mug has been specifically designed by Jane as a small piece of art in functional form, incorporating symbolism and a "little surprise inside!." Featuring an elegant handle, these contemporary yet timeless designs create unique conversation pieces as well as a beautiful gift for someone special. Inspired by Ivan Shishkin’s painting 'Morning in a Pine Forest', Jane created an ethereal forest setting for The Orphans playground. Eerie creatures are formed from the patterns in the pine branches and foliage. This evokes the precarious world in which the cubs inhabit without their mother’s protection. On the back of this enchanting mug, bear cubs play on a tree branch that also has layered images of Wojtek the soldier bear, including his regimental badge. The tree branch image is repeated inside where it becomes a slide for the cubs, their mischievous play revealed as the user drinks from the mug. 5% profits go directly to the Orphan Bear Rescue Centre, Russia.

Her exquisite fine English bone china collection of plates and mugs 'In Homage to the Last Great Carnivores of Eurasia', which celebrates the beauty and majesty of threatened and endangered carnivores across the Eurasian continent, whilst highlighting the challenges they face in an uncertain world, are made in Stoke-on-Trent to the highest standard by prestigious ceramic manufacturers The New English.
