It is made from recycled brass with one micron of recycled 18k gold vermeil. The reason we use brass for some of our chains is that should the gold begin to wear off it will not show nearly so much on brass as on silver. it is also more affordable.
The chain is fastened with a gold circlet, onto which you can add any pendant.
The model is seen wearing this chain with a gold aquamarine pendant and with a large baroque pearl pendant, which are for sale seperately.
What do we love about this chain? It's incredibly smart and it sits very well on the neck.
All gold vermeil will eventually wear off, and the more often it is worn, the more quickly this will happen, especially in the places where it comes in contact with the skin.
But as this piece has one full micron of 18k gold vermeil, this should last well.
