Founded as manufacturers of ophthalmic instruments, contributors to the Second World War effort and one of the early producers of spectacles for the National Health Service, Curry & Paxton pioneered at every stage. From opera glasses and binoculars to motoring shades, skiing goggles and bespoke tortoiseshell frames, the company’s achievements were crowned with a Royal Warrant bestowed by HRH the Duke of Windsor before famously framing the face of Michael Caine in the Harry Palmer films and The Italian Job.
