Mumutane is an inspirational mix of Nordic aesthetics and vibrant African expression. African wax print textiles contain many tales and stories of life in Africa, which gives the products a special dimension. Every cushion is unique. The front is made of wax print textile purchased from women who run small, local textile shops in West Africa. The back is made of leftover textile from the Danish company, Kvadrat.

The objective is to create ’products with purpose’, which is why Mumutane has a sustainable approach with a focus on minimising textile waste, create jobs in low-income countries, support production with a social impact in Denmark documented as a B Corporation.
The cushions are adaptable to your preferences: one side express Nordic minimalism and the other African liveliness.
