With a focus on sustainable and bespoke homeware, most pieces are made with jesmonite which is an eco-resin. Jesmonite is often used in construction as an alternative to concrete, however it is VOC-free and much lighter.

By Shax is a one-woman business and is owned by Shalaka Laxman, who also works in Sustainability alongside her creative business. Each piece is designed and handmade in her studio in the Isle of Dogs in East London.
