Lady Kate

Lady Kate is a women's knitwear label born and bred in rural Australia to introduce Australian Merino wool to a new generation of women. Our hope is that you'll see our knitwear and think "ooh that looks nice" and then you'll feel our knitwear and think "oh wow that feels great!" and from then on you'll be passionate supporters of our beautiful fibre. Australian Merino wool is a natural, renewable fibre grown on a blend of sunshine, grass and rain. Australian wool growers produce the best quality Merino wool in the world, yet so often the high street stores are stocked with cheap wool blends or synthetics. It occurred to us that there is a whole generation of women who have never experienced the luxurious feel of Merino on their skin. Our founder, Penny's family has been producing Merino wool for over a century, and she uses the knowledge learnt on the farm when selecting the yarns for our knitwear. Our designs reflect our bush heritage - colours inspired by the Australian landscape and styles designed to be both comfortable and stylish. In short, we make knitwear for women who want to feel as good as they look.
