Cro-Che is the London-born, quintessential cult brand that was launched in the midst of a global pandemic by Tacita Brown. Frustrated with the amount of waste generated in the fashion industry, she began researching ways to create garments in the most sustainable way, holding firm a belief that a fashion brand should begin with how the clothes are made and the people who make them. As its name suggests, Cro-Che produces items in crochet, which are handmade by female artisans in developing countries across the globe. Cro-Che aims to empower the incredibly skilled women by employing them to work from home, ensuring that these skilled artisans did not have to leave their homes or their families and travel hundreds of miles to find work in city-based factories.
