Studio Ekin Kayis

Studio Ekin Kayis is a contemporary design studio based in Helsinki, founded by designer Ekin Kayis in 2018. Ekin is a designer with a hands-on, research-oriented and experimental approach to design process, along with a strong emphasis and passion about materials, texture and colour. Ekin utilizes both craft-based and industrial production techniques, while exploring the qualities and potential of materials and the means of production. Works of the studio aims to go beyond the visual aesthetics and function, by creating rich material experiences. Experimental and bespoke products and artworks of the studio have been exhibited in prestigious international design weeks, fairs and exhibitions such as Milan Design Week, Collectible Fair Brussels, London Design Fair, Paris Design Week and Helsinki Design Week among others.
