Launched in 2017, La Filippine is a contemporary brand designed with French subtleties & handcrafted by Filipino artisans. Julia Barba-Baudlot brings her heritage in craftsmanship and her background in gallery art to design pieces that strike balance between natural and polished, rustic and urbane. With a focus on working with family-businesses around the archipelago, the La Filippine collection is intimately related to its provenance and its producers. Our producers are socially conscious & adhere to fair trade principles by way of investing back into their craftspeople: paying them a fair wage, developing their skills, offering financial aid, & maintaining safe studio workshops.
