Mianqa

Mianqa is a contemporary brand offering sustainable luxury bags, using recycled materials, decreasing waste and empowering women. The revolutionary idea behind Mianqa, is its signature handweaving design, a patented technique reusing premium leather cut-offs that are left over as waste in bag factories. Mianqa has partnered with FSWW (NGO in Istanbul empowering low income women) The braided parts of each bag is individually handwoven by women members. Lined with fabrics recycled from pet bottles, each bag is then handcrafted at the atelier. Aiming to diversify and increase the use of recycled materials, Mianqa is adding new sustainable materials to the new designs. In late 2020, Mianqa is launching its new collection made from real vegan leather, namely cactus leather.
