Subtropicalia

Subtropicalia is a Mexican clothing brand based in Guadalajara, founded in 2015. Our main inspiration is freedom and nature, how we perceive the world inside us and outside: the self identity. Important references for us are architecture and poetry. We seek for an exercise that connects the body to the piece. The objective is a metaphor to find self discovery while getting dressed. Our pieces are made by the talented women that work in our studio, each of them focused in an specific area inside the production. We work with organic materials such as cotton, bamboo and linen. We are proud to be a slow fashion brand that take action not only in environmental subjects but also -and very important- in the human resource. We take this last point very seriously, because we are sure that knowing yourself, taking care of yourself will definitely contribute not only in our results but in every process of our work.
