Tilayo’s philosophy is “detail and clarity with a hint of mystery”. Traditional craft, the foundation of Abiola’s work, is translated using modern processes and new approaches. Tilayo’s philosophy has been cultivated through travel, and attention to detail and colour. Each piece tells a story, whether it is collaboration with artisans in a remote village in West Africa, printmaking in India or travelling to Chiang Mai, Thailand, in search of inspiration. Each experience infiltrates the designs.
