Each painstakingly drawn by hand with the finest pen nibs by Maria Sole Cortese, founder and creator of Volpine, from her Victorian studio in London where the stories and meanings of each animal come to life and explode into colourful patterns. Her unique style of illustration is inspired by a love of the slightly macabre, quirky and otherworldly coupled with a passion for Victorian encaustic pattern. The silk scarves are designed and printed in the UK with the brightest inks to enhance the details of the illustrations. They are so soft to the touch with perfectly hand rolled hems for a luxurious finish. Truly unique and exquisite.
