Ice Silk Scarf

Limited stock available
This stunning silk scarf features creative photography in a beautiful, one of a kind design. This design is inspired by Dylan Thomas' everlasting love in his poem, 'And Death Shall Have No Dominion'. Purple, blue and wine coloured flowers feature frozen in time, representing his ongoing love. Stephie filled tubs with water and flowers before placing them in the freezer then recording the results photographically the next day. A line from the poem is printed on the reverse. The scarf is printed both sides creating a unique effect as well as two designs in one! One side features smaller flowers amongst the ice, whereas the reverse features large flowers and striking colours. Wear for an evening loose, wrapped or tied for daytime. The lightweight scarf is 100% silk satin with a black fringe.

Meet The Designer

Each StephieAnn collection is inspired by poetry with founder, Stephie Woolven’s hand drawings and photography reflecting the story told in the poem. Stephie’s artwork is digitally printed on silk and made into camisoles, vests, tunics, pyjama sets, eye masks as well as scarves with products that can be worn both during the day as well as to bed. All StephieAnn products are designed and made in Great Britain. Each collection follows a unique design process. For the Hammer Through Daisies Collection, Stephie trapped flowers in ice before hammering the ice to reveal the frozen flower. For That Tender Light inspired by Lord Bryon’s She Walks in Beauty Stephie suspended beautiful white flowers in water & dripped ink in. She then photographed the swirling effect of the ink & turned the photographs into prints for the new collection.
