Koi Fine Wool Scarf
Koi Fine Wool Scarf
The base colour of this scarf is dark charcoal rather than black, which makes it easier to wear and combine, and it works very well with black clothing. The material is very soft and not scratchy, lightweight but warming and ideal as a winter wrap or long scarf around the neck. The quality of this Italian wool is much better than the ‘cashmere-modal’ mixes dominating the market right now (in my opinion they lack texture and shape, and the fabric degrades quickly because modal is not a sturdy fibre). This is a unisex item and looks great on a man who can incorporate it into his style.
The packaging is also beautiful.

Product : beautiful item. can't wait to use it.
Wool and silk are protein fibres which naturally repel dirt and hardly take on any smells, so the scarf doesn't need to be cleaned often.
If it needs a clean, dry cleaning is recommended (lukewarm water and mild shampoo or silk/wool detergent would not damage the print, but for the feel of the wool it's still better and safer to dry clean it).

Meet The Designer
ARLETTE ESS is a luxury accessories label based on artworks by founder and owner Arlette, a visual artist specialising in ink drawing. All the scarf designs are based on originals of monochrome indian ink artworks. The drawings have an emphasis on texture, which translate into intricate, refined prints with an understated elegance. The label started with her signature fur prints. Arlette often uses animals as subjects, but is interested in the meanings we project into them. Therefore the content of her collections draws from the collective cultural history, a part of our identity we share through image and myth. Her scarves are what she calls ‘honest luxury' products, without any compromise on the material quality or the production process. The choice of manufacturing and quality follows the ‘buy less, buy better’ ethos, so a silk scarf will look and feel great for a lifetime.
