A luxurious towel of exceptional quality. Made from organic hand-picked cotton. Limited edition of 825 towels. 680gsm. Soft and extremely absorbent.
Nothing comes close to cotton for sustainability, naturalness, softness, absorbency and luxuriance.
But it can’t be just any cotton.
The perfect combination of soil, rainfall, sunshine and wind in the hills behind the Aegean coast of Turkey produces cotton which is the perfect cotton for towels. This cotton has extra long fibres, a rare white colour and a natural lustre. The fairtrade farmers follow strict organic guidelines, before carefully handpicking the crop.
Aegean cotton is very rare. And only a tiny amount of that is grown organically
The precious cotton yarn is then entrusted to a family firm in the Minho province in Northern Portugal who have been weaving since the middle of the last century. They make our towels to exacting specifications to achieve the perfect balance of softness and absorbency.
All Collingwood & Hay towels are pure white, some with a subtle but distinctive pattern at each end. Created in London these designs appear only once in a limited edition production run.
Caring for a Collingwood & Hay towel.
Collingwood & Hay towels are made from natural fibres. Follow these guidelines and your towel will stay soft and absorbent.
Wash your towel before first use.
Use a gentle laundry detergent on a 40c wash cycle.
Do not use fabric softener as this reduces absorbency
Always tumble dry, on a low heat.
Always wash as part of a full load as this will maintain the softness of the towels. Insufficient loading may cause pilling through rubbing with the washing drum. After spin drying stretch the product by hand and shake it whilst still damp.
Do not dry on or near a heater.
Do not over dry.
If a loop is pulled (from zips or sharp objects) cut off the pull with scissors. This will not cause damage to the fabric.
Do not pull at the loops.
Please follow the treatment instructions on the care label.
A Collingwood & Hay towel can be professionally dry cleaned.
