The Astrology Collection is inspired by the way our interwoven knowledge of science and mythology are inextricably linked to create our personal identities as our stories form our cultural DNA. In the Ancient Greek tale, Taurus is often thought to be the animal who sired the Minotaur after Poseidon causes Queen Pasiphae mad with love for the bull to punish King Mino. He later became wild and had to be captured by Heracles for his seventh task. Taurus is also associated with the bull that Zeus took as a disguise when he abducted Pasiphae’s mother Europa.

The earring is formed of a simple stud which supports a circle - considered to be the most geometrically perfect shape - holding an accurate cluster of the stars forming the constellation, which is held suspended in space by delicate wire.

The Astrology Collection is inspired by the way our knowledge of science is interwoven with the enduring legacy of the classical myths. For me, the two are inextricably linked, thus creating both our personal identities, and the stories which form our cultural DNA.
Solid Sterling Silver can become tarnished over time, if this happens the most simple way to restore your earrings is to use Silver Dip. A polishing cloth may also be used.
15mm diameter by up to 2mm plus post.

Meet The Designer

Yasmin Everley is a young British designer, born and bred in Camden, London. Yasmin has been surrounded by jewellery for longer than she can remember, working alongside her mother, also a jewellery designer, since the age of eleven has inevitably influenced her own designs. However, her degree in Classical Studies, combined with a love of the late 18th and early 19th century – the age of exploration and excavation – has provided Yasmin's main source of inspiration. Her collections include Entomology, Typography and Astrology. Her jewellery is all made from polished Sterling Silver and oxidised solid Sterling Silver, embellished with pure gold and precious stones.
