This 100% silk chiffon oblong scarf is a limited edition of 15; 2 remain in the edition.

This wearable art comes packaged in a cunning box that opens like a book. Each limited-edition scarf is accompanied by a "story card", which has the original photograph on one side and the story about the image on the other.

Most of the people we met in Vietnam are self-sufficient, regardless of their circumstances. For example, if they live in the Mekong Delta, they fish and trade what they catch for other items they may need. In one of the ethnic villages in the Central Highlands, we met a couple whose small business is to make and sell joss sticks. Joss sticks are used in temple worship and other ceremonies. They sell their wares in trade for food. Their small cottage was full of bundles of sticks that the wife fed one-by-one through a foot operated treadle machine. Her husband was busy collecting the cinnamon-coated joss sticks and piling them out in the sun to dry.

Due to the handcrafted process and inherent nature of the materials used, slight variations in color might be visible from the listed photos.

Meet The Designer

ImageDiary scarves are one-of-a-kind 100% silk pieces from Scottie Kersta-Wilson's photographic images that touch on travel, war, and nature's unintentional consequences. Rather than using repeated prints, each piece is a complete composition, possessing a distinct narrative. Each scarf is a piece of art & a percentage of proceeds goes to non-profit veterans groups.

Scottie Kersta-Wilson is an Army Brat who can’t separate her military bloodline from her being any more than she can change her eye color. She hopes that her stories, told in fabrics, can add something to the tale and take away from the misery. Credits: Melissa Morley, product photos; Jasmine Cen, video; Amber Allen, model.
