CARE
Please store your jewelry in a cool, dry place, ideally in anti-tarnish pouches.

All jewelry will eventually tarnish, so 'Alohi Kai silver jewelry comes with a non-toxic coating to ward it off. After wearing, just clean with gentle soap and water, and dry with a soft cloth. After a while the coating may wear off; if it does we recommend a soft polishing cloth in addition to the soap and water.

And remember to care for your jewelry by keeping it away from harsh chemicals including chlorine, salt and beauty products. Also avoid knocking, scratching or otherwise damaging your jewelry while performing activities. Look after your jewelry and it will last generations!

ABOUT ‘Ahi (aka Yellowfin Tuna)
Ola has many meanings in Hawaiian, among them are life, health, well-being; alive, living; heal, survive, thrive. Each design in the Ola Collection is inspired by something that sustained and helped the ancient Hawaiians thrive.
Fish were a primary food source for ancient Hawaiians. ‘Ahi were especially esteemed – thrilling as sport fishing and delicious to eat. Ahi are a deep sea dwellers; while spending 85% at less than 300 ft, they are known to go deeper than 3800 ft! These fast, sleek and powerful predators can get up to 75 km/h (47 mph) and attain 450 lbs. Named ‘yellow fin’ for their iconic yellow fins and finlets, they are smaller than the closely related and endangered bluefin tuna. Yellow fin often school with other tuna and fish of similar size, and sometimes even join dolphins! Once plentiful, they are greatly over-fished and are considered Near Threatened.

Alohi Kai Jewelry

Based in: United States of America

Alohi Kai Jewelry is born from a love of the deep blue, and created by hand with sweat and fire and aloha in Hawaii. Each of our designs has a story to tell of underwater adventures, ocean hardship, survival and ingenuity, as well as our own journey of discovery and inspiration. Using ‘slow’ methods we hand carve our designs from underwater photos we take in clear Hawaiian waters. We do things by hand and design to be coveted, creating with attention to detail. And we work hard to use processes and materials that are sustainable so we don't harm the ocean we love; our jewelry represents thousands of hours not just observing wildlife, but clearing line, hooks, garbage and on occasion, freeing creatures caught up in it.
