The name "Iolite" is derived from the Greek word "Iol" meaning "Violet". Depending on how the crystal has been cut it can take on different appearances; clear as water from one side, a honey yellow hue from another.
Inuit legend has it that Labradorite fell from the Aurora Borealis, which gave the stone its rich multicoloured appearance. It is used as a protective stone to ward off negativity and misfortune and enhance intuition and self awareness.
Please note that the translucency and color of each natural gemstone may vary, making each piece of Juvi Jewelry unique to you. 24ct Gold Plated Sterling Silver 'Antibes Short Necklace' with Labradorite And Iolite
