In the Ancient Greek tale, Aquarius is associated with the myth of Ganymede, the unbearably beautiful boy that Zeus abducted by taking the form of a gigantic eagle and took to Olympus to become his cupbearer. He later honoured him by placing him in the stars.

The earring takes the form of a simple stud which supports a circle - considered by the Ancient Greeks to be the most geometrically perfect shape – and within it a cluster of the stars accurately forms the constellation, suspended in space by a delicate wire. These earrings usually come in bright polished silver but also look great in oxidised silver if you prefer.

The Astrology Collection is inspired by the way our knowledge of science is interwoven with the enduring legacy of the classical myths. For me, the two are inextricably linked, thus creating both our personal identities, and the stories which form our cultural DNA.
Solid Sterling Silver can become tarnished over time, if this happens the most simple way to restore your earrings is to use Silver Dip. A polishing cloth may also be used.

Meet The Designer

Yasmin Everley is a young British designer, born and bred in Camden, London. Yasmin has been surrounded by jewelry for longer than she can remember, working alongside her mother, also a jewelry designer, since the age of eleven has inevitably influenced her own designs. However, her degree in Classical Studies, combined with a love of the late 18th and early 19th century – the age of exploration and excavation – has provided Yasmin's main source of inspiration. Her collections include Entomology, Typography and Astrology. Her jewelry is all made from polished Sterling Silver and oxidised solid Sterling Silver, embellished with pure gold and precious stones.
