This collection comprises of a quincunx of shapes based on the sacred 5 tower structures of Angkor Wat. Inspired by this architecturally striking and elegant temple complex in Cambodia, the collection mirrors its Ogive or Lotus shaped pointed temple apexes, its intricate columns and detailed patternation. Mixing modern, geometric forms and shapes with organic ruin-esque etched surfaces, pieces give the sense of the present and the past assimilating, reviving and renewing the Khmer aesthetic.

The Atlas disk hoop earrings are hand etched from original illustrations of the ruins of Angkor Wat. Intricate textures and surface details create beautiful intricacy. Modern, bold clean shapes contrast with organic, eroded textures evoking ancient treasures of distant centuries past. The Atlas charm signifies the natural, organic beauty of the world, contrasting with geometric man-made beauty of Angkor Wat.
Material: Heavy 18ct Yellow Gold Plated Brass

All earrings are made with 18ct Yellow Gold Plated Sterling Silver posts and Scrolls to avoid skin irritation
The Atlas disk measures 3.5cm wide

Meet The Designer

Contemporary jewelry designer Annabelle Lucilla focuses on intricate metalwork inspired by an eclectic range of historical influences. Annabelle’s latest collection draws upon the striking geometric architecture of the Cambodian temple Angkor Wat. Drawing inspiration from ancient civilizations, Indian and Cambodian architecture and traditional Grecian folklore, Annabelle’s designs are inflected by the exoticism of the past and its historical techniques, which result in contemporary treasures that capture the look and feel of rare antiquities which are, by that same token, effortlessly modern. A fascination for surface decoration, sculpture and hand drawn illustration underpins Annabelle’s jewelry, whose delicately etched designs belie great levels of intricacy. It’s for this level of craftsmanship and design innovation that Annabelle’s designs always retain a unique, luxurious and personalized feel. Annabelle’s designs, anchored in the age-old etching process and updated with a modern twist have hallmarked her jewelry as the work of a truly innovative young designer. With instantly recognizable signature pieces, Annabelle has created a truly unique brand.
She revives historical techniques which reflect the organic imperfections, fissures and textures of times past; all the while using sustainable materials to ensure aesthetic is matched by ethical practice. Annabelle works from her studio in Cockpit Arts situated in Hatton Garden, the historical jewelry quarter in London.
