Meet The Designer

There is a wild side to every innocent face. Simitri’s collection of sparkling accessories is inspired by the undercurrents of the jungle world - where things are beautiful and bold, gentle yet vivacious, sparkly and also strong. Simitri Designs has harnessed the enigma of the animal world to create a collection of evening clutches, brunch briefcases, handbags and jewelry. Prints and motifs are inspired by the exploding colors of nature’s own palette. Embellishments and embroideries follow the patterns of floral vines into an oasis of petals. And glittering images of fireflies and beetles bask in their glorious communal harmony, showing that by dawn or dusk, the world could not be more beautiful than this jungle. Much like the rule of the wild, we respect the cycle of life and embrace an organic, slow fashion movement. All our products are handcrafted in India. We empower and support the livelihood of crafts women and men that specialize in zardozi work, kutch embroidery, kalamkari and many other crafts of their land. Gayatri Chopra brought her vision to life in 2009, after studying accessory design in India and in Milan, which expanded in 2015 to the United States, where she collaborated with Simran Kaur, a handbag enthusiast who transitioned from 8 years of corporate into the heart of the accessory business.
