The idea to create Little Ones Paris was born out of Amélie Brunswick's fascination for French Jewelry. We spent 5 minutes with the designer and co-founder to get a glimpse inside the brand.
How did Little Ones Paris begin?
I am a gemmologist specialising in responsible jewelry. I spent many years advising the greatest French diamond dealers, producers and luxury brands on how to improve their ethical performance (RJC certification). Through this interaction, I developed a passion, a savoir-faire and a quality imperative which gave birth to Little Ones Paris.
Have you always been interested in fashion?
I've never been interested in fashion, but have always been fascinating by diamonds and gems. I always wanted to work in the jewelry industry.
What was the inspiration behind your latest collection?
My daughter! The idea to create the perfect precious and symbolic gift for mothers came when I became a mum for the first time in 2014. I wanted to bring a distinctive light to the diamond, by imagining a symbolic gift, a parure as a sign of love, a beautiful promise of eternity and a family jewel to hand down over the course of time.
Do you ever struggle to stay inspired?
No, my daughter and my little boy (to come) are a real source of inspiration. I am 7 months pregnant which motivates me to create and develop the brand as a sign of love.
Where is your go-to meeting spot?
"Carette" the famous French bakery and tearoom in Trocadéro Paris.
How would you describe your customer base?
Mothers. Actually, not just mothers to be or newly mums but all kinds of women; mothers and grand-mothers that wish to celebrate their maternal love.
Is there anyone you would love to see wearing your designs?
All mothers in the world.
What are the morals you run your brand by?
Little Ones Paris is a luxury jewelry brand made in France by artisans recognised for their excellence and chosen for their ethical awareness. Diamonds are selected in accordance with the Kimberley Process, which aims to combat diamond conflicts by guaranteeing that diamonds do not originate from a source of conflict. I wanted to create a sustainable brand with regards to the symbol of the jewels; maternal and eternal love.
What apps keep you sane?
I really love instagram, follow us @littleonesjoaillerie
If you could only wear one piece from your collection, what would it be and why?
Right now I really love my rose gold girl necklace, but I might change it for the new rose gold boy and girl bangle, as I'm going to be mother of 2!
What’s the best piece of advice you’ve ever been given?
Follow your instinct and goals to achieve your dreams.
Where do you see the brand in 5 years?
In 5 years, I really plan on serving as a reference of maternal love in the jewelry market. I plan to develop our international presence in the next few years and to increase our ethical engagement. I want to go further and develop a partnership with a population that needs our help, by paying a part of our turnover to a charity that resonates with the brand.
