Silveroots Jewelry Collection is inspired by the individual traditional craft that has developed for centuries in the town of Ioannina, Northwestern Greece; the craft of processing silver by hand to make items of unique art. For almost 600 years, our town of Ioannina has built a long-standing reputation for high-quality, traditional handmade silver arts. Silverworks techniques forged since the 15th century have remained unchanged. Silveroots exist to preserve and keep this traditional silversmith art form alive. Our silverworks display a melting pot of influences forged throughout centuries, deriving from Ancient Greece down to the Byzantines, and then to the Ottoman period. Each .925 sterling silver artwork is handcrafted by the traditionally-trained silversmiths, and made right here in Ioannina.
