Kokoro’s Ethical Mongolian Cashmere is sourced from Inner Mongolia, where the goats are raised by traditional Mongolian shepherds. The softest fleece is collected through combing the goats gently by breeders who keep only the tops of the fleece for yarn spinning. Combing off the winter undercoat from the goats helps them stay healthy during the summer season and is a necessary component to their survival, which is why the breeders we source from collect it at this time.

Our production strategy practices aim to reduce waste with a closed loop manufacturing system.
