This 100% organic tee was designed my Gambian artist Amadou Barry and represents the history of African culture through the 3 stages of life, youth, adolescence and old age. Amadou won our Gambian Artist Competition and his design is the latest to adorn our sustainable t-shirt range.

100% of the sale of this t-shirt goes directly to communities like Amadou's to fund social enterprises that help lift people out of poverty. So far in The Gambia we've funded a HIV clinic, a sustainable soap business and delivered essential PPE during the covid pandemic. Your ethical purchase helps us continue and proves that fashion can be a force for good in the world.

Meet The Designer

ORIGIN is the UK's first 100% not-for-profit fashion brand, raising funds for humanitarian development projects through the sale of ethical and sustainable clothing.

In the creation of all our products we are committed to using high quality, carefully sourced, planet-friendly materials and most importantly we focus on the sustainability of both products and projects. We are committed to creating ethical garments, which means we strive to be kind to people, planet and the projects we work on.

Our t-shirts have multiple certifications including GOTS, Oeko-Tex and Fairwear Foundation and when printing our tees we also ensure we use vegan-approved water-based dyes. Our base sweatshirts are created by Earth Positive, boasting a carbon-neutral manufacturing process.

100% of our revenue is put back into Origin to support social entrepreneurs in the same African communities from which we source our hand-made designs. So far we've funded 5 social enterprises, created 50 sustainable jobs and impacted the lives of over 4000 people. All future sales will help us increase those figures and prove that fashion can be a force for good in the world.
