Meet The Designer

Born Lucky is a UK studio producing design-led nursery artwork. We believe that a child's bedroom wall is a privileged position to occupy. It's the first and last thing they see each day, and we believe that the artworks on their wall should be purposeful and inspire creative thinking. Influenced by Scandinavian and Japanese design principles, our illustrations seek to nurture childhood imagination. Our carefully selected color palette invokes a sense of tranquillity and peace, and through iconography we explore narratives of adventure and nature. Our work is described as contemporary without being cold, and celebrates childhood without being childish. It is important to us that our designs are gender neutral and that our artwork grows with the child throughout the stages of childhood. Founder Rose Lihou has previously worked a product designer and illustrator, with a special interest in design for children.
