Sustainability guarantees
Are all items in your collection made from at least 80% of material, textiles or ingredients from organic farming?
Is your collection free from parabens, sulfates, petroleum, mineral oil, phthalates, micro-plastics or synthetic fragrances? (ONLY applies if you are a beauty, grooming or candle brand)
Is your collection made exclusively in your studio or by an artisan collective of fewer than 10 people? There should be a focus on preserving artisanal production methods and skilled workers in order to qualify.
Is the manufacturing process of your collection free from child labour and human trafficking, are all workers paid a living wage, and is the factory compliant with all local environmental regulations?
Does at least 1% of all sales of your collection go to a charity partner? This must be a formalised aspect of your business model.
Is your collection free from AZO dyes and phthalates? (This will mainly apply to apparel and accessories)
Are all items in your collection made with at least 50% recycled or up-cycled materials? (only applies if you are an apparel, accessories, jewellery or homeware brand)
Never apply hairspray, perfumes or other chemicals directly on your headpiece as it can be stained. While applying chemical hair styling products, you need to wear your headpiece a few minutes later.
Do not place your headpieces into a stuffed handbag, Always store them in Eli Peacock boxes.
It is also important to avoid your headpiece from your makeup dust and dirt being placed on the surface after wearing.
Avoid wearing hair accessories on rainy days. If your hair accessory accidentally comes into contact with water, place it under room temperature to let it dry out naturally.
In order to avoid product deformation and breakage, do not store your headpieces in a humid or high-temperature environment.
Always handle them carefully, especially those with elaborate sculptural designs.
