Style notes

For London Design Week '21, Stoff Studios have collaborated with Wolf and Badger to produce a limited edition of our popular Pilgrim poster
Hand screen printed in our London studio and limited to 50 editions, our Stone color way is printed using an intense azure blue onto a stone colored paper with black text

Printed using water based inks and sustainably sourced paper which has been produced in the UK.

We have hand signed, numbered and titled each one.

Sustainability guarantees

Is your collection made exclusively in your studio or by an artisan collective of fewer than 10 people? There should be a focus on preserving artisanal production methods and skilled workers in order to qualify.

In order to flatten your print when it arrives, remove the print from the tube and unroll it. Lay it out, image side up, on a flat surface. With a sheet of smooth paper covering the print's image, place a few, smooth, flat, heavy objects (such as books) on the ends and middle of the print. Let it sit for a couple of hours or overnight.

Stoff Studios

Based in: United Kingdom

Stoff Studios are a design duo, consisting of Carys Briggs, a textile designer who trained at both the Royal College of Art and Central St Martins, and Andrew Mason, a furniture maker who studied Sculpture at Camberwell College. We work across two studios: one in south Bermondsey and the other in a Victorian warehouse nearby on Surrey Canal Road. It’s a part of London that has a wealth of resources and a great community of makers.

Working from our studio spaces in South East London, we use traditional methods to create refined, intimate collections of textiles and furniture. We take a humble approach to our practice, drawing inspiration from the materials that we work with; the joy of dyes applied to fabric or the clarity brought about by a well placed joint. Often concentrating on either a single piece or a small batch of works we produce objects with a tactile nature, designed to work together in the home to create plains of color and texture.

The fabric pieces are inspired by gestural mark making and mono printing techniques and their soft lines are reflected in the fluid, sculptural forms of our furniture.

We aim to produce truly collaborative collections, utilising our two fields of knowledge to create a more studied, detailed response to our initial inspirations, taking account of how our finished pieces, and the materials they are made from, exist within a wider context.
