by Wolf & Badger

We like to recognise brands who incorporate charitable giving into their business models, here we focus on a few who are making animal protection and conservation their top priority.

Deeba London’s Tiger Collection donates to Tiger Watch from Ranthambore Tiger Reserve in Rajasthan. Founded in 1988, Tiger Watch was developed at a time when the loss of Tiger habitat was at its peak and Tiger numbers were dwindling due to aggressive poaching. Today they operate on the front lines of many battles taking place to ensure the protection of the entire landscape through a more holistic approach to conservation; employing methods from education through to strategic partnerships with local communities.

KOY Clothing was founded by two British brothers born and raised in Africa, and who are now on a mission to support and give back to the continent they grew up in and love so much. They give over 50% of profits to sustainable charity projects within the Kenyan communities that inspire their designs - supporting the people, the place and the wildlife.

The designer, Michelle Pang, hopes to increase awareness and spread appreciation for endangered animals and other living species as well as donating to wildlife conservation efforts. Last year, Misheo donated 5% of net profits to wildlife conservation efforts, while this year, the company has launched a line of vegan-friendly and environmentally sustainable scarves ethically made of Tencel from responsibly harvested eucalyptus trees.

Zenzee is a contemporary Park City, UT based womenswear label, focused on creating beautiful and wearable garments. Proceeds from their animal collection support the Wildlife Conservation Society. WCS's goal is to conserve the world's largest wild places in 14 priority regions, home to more than 50% of the world's biodiversity. The charity target large, iconic, wide-ranging species because of their intrinsic value and because they are vital to ecosystem health. By saving them, we protect all other biodiversity that shelters under their conservation canopy.
