Workers are paid a living wage; no child labour or human trafficking is involved in the production of the collection; the factory is compliant with all local environmental regulations.
The opening of this sweater is built so that it hangs well and only shows the upper part of the arm, the shoulder.
It is a thin off-white rib knit, very warm and soft, since the composition is a mixture of wool and cashmere. Rib knits have a very high degree of elasticity and adapt perfectly to any body type.
This sweater is named after a model who participated in our Summer 2019 campaign, María.

Hems finished with a 2 cm stitching.

90% Wool, 10% Cashmere
Care
Hand wash your wool piece, with cold water and not much soap. Avoid using softener. Gently squeeze the excess water. Dry woolens flat on a rack, out of the sun and placing a towel underneath to absorb any drips. Hanging wool up to dry will stretch pieces out of shape. Wash maximum twice per season.

It's not just a womenswear brand, it’s a way of life. Silvia Garcia Presas, founder and creative director of the brand, graduated at the Royal College of Art (London) and started THE AVANT in 2004. Since then, she has always expressed very unique values in her timeless clothing. Tradition, culture, travels and dance are a never ending source of inspiration for her collections.
Everything is designed and produced in Barcelona, from fine knitwear, to floral silk dresses, hand embroidered pieces… all made in the highest quality fabrics.
