All jewelry will eventually tarnish, so 'Alohi Kai silver jewelry comes with a non-toxic coating to ward it off. After wearing, just clean with gentle soap and water, and dry with a soft cloth. After a while the coating may wear off; if it does we recommend a soft polishing cloth in addition to the soap and water.

And remember to care for your jewelry by keeping it away from harsh chemicals including chlorine, salt and beauty products. Also avoid knocking, scratching or otherwise damaging your jewelry while performing activities. Look after your jewelry and it will last generations!


ABOUT SPINNER DOLPHINS

In Hawaii, dolphins are called Nai’a. There are three main species - spinner, spotted and bottlenose. Spinners are named after the frequent spins they do as they jump out of the water. One of the things we love most about them is their bellies turn pink when excited, so when we see juveniles in the pod jumping out of the water, they often have pink bellies! So look for little pink bellied torpedos next time you’re on the ocean, you won’t regret it.

Remember, despite their ‘cute’ fixed smiles, dolphins are apex predators like sharks. Some are playful and even helpful to humans, but others can be dangerous. Never try to touch or pet a dolphin out of respect for wildlife, but also for your safety!
