The Colors Of Love: The Song Of The Flute - Inspired By The Pichwai Paintings Of Lord Krishna

'The Colors Of Love' illustrates as the legend says, once upon a time in the Govardhan hills, when Krishna was playing his flute, the sweet melody that poured out made the Peacocks dance in joy and excitement. At the end of a long dance, they spread their feathers and the king of the Peacocks offered with great humility its feathers as an offering. The Lord accepted it and adorned himself with it. The Peacock feathers have a thousand eyes, which symbolize as a vault of heaven and eyes of stars and it`s iridescent coloring is a gift from Lord Indra as an act of compassion to the bird. His flute beckons all.
The Colors Of Love - Song Of The Flute is an exquisitely illustrated scarf collection made in Italy, inspired by the Indian Pichwai paintings devoted to Lord Krishna. The Pichwai paintings originate from the town of Nathdwara, Rajasthan in India. The paintings are devoted to the tales of Lord Krishna. Pichwai paintings originally hung in temples, artistic reproductions of these paintings allowed devotees and connoisseurs to take the art of the temple and tales of the deity home.

They are available in small sizes that make beautiful neckerchiefs and pocket squares.

House of Gharats is a London based design house, fusing cultures and blurring the lines between art, craft and fashion, producing a clever approach to everyday dressing and living. It is a purpose driven brand that aims to demonstrate their positive social and environmental impact. It's endeavour is to redefine cultural relationships, and create new style synergies. The House of Gharats collaborates with artisans & craftspeople, engages with unconventional materials, sculptural tailoring, bold colors, fanciful details and novel prints to challenge conventional ideas of style. It is passionate about engaging with the makers and process, thus seeking to capture the essence of tradition, materials, stories and function. “The influence of our native country, can be felt through our collections, it is grounded in tradition and timeless eccentricities, yet fearlessly modern.” Neishaa Gharat, Founder-Designer.
