Belgian high end sustainable fashion created from the face and body art of the Kara tribe in Ethiopia.
Every single print in the Akaso clothing and leather bags collection is the exact reproduction of a body painting motif created by a Kara tribe artist on their face and body. The Kara people are famous for their abstract body painting art. Akaso pays each artist as a Western free lance designer. The Kara invests these proceeds in sustainable projects improving the livelihood of the entire Kara tribe community.
The entire Akaso collection is manufactured in Europe, exclusively with European sustainable materials, such as Tencel, organic cotton, merino wool, alpaca, precious wools and Italian calf leather.
