Monzlapur is a unisex label that creates elevated, urban ready-to-wear and limited-edition attire, with a focus on texture. Our aesthetic plays with boundaries that define gender, ethnicity, and creates fluid and timeless perspectives. Monzlapur was founded by Mona Hamid, a biochemistry graduate who had undergone a fashion design metamorphism. Mona is of Sudanese origin and grew up in Abu Dhabi to a family involved in custom evening wear. Now, a Brooklyn transplant of 9 years and using Monzlapur as a medium to marry both the worlds of eastern flare and the urban underground scene of New York.
