A cotton dress is easy to care for and can usually be machine washed in cold or warm water with a mild detergent. Wash it with similar colors and turn it inside out to reduce wear and help preserve the fabric. Air dry or tumble dry on low to medium heat, although air drying helps minimize shrinkage. If needed, iron on a medium to high cotton setting, preferably while the dress is still slightly damp. Avoid over-drying and use bleach only if the care label specifically states it is safe.
